I’m sorry that you had to experience that, but this game is officially not in development as of right now, so an android version is most likely out of the question. I’ve recently grown burnt out from this project, so I’ve moved on to other projects to keep me inspired.
Thank you for letting me know of your concern about this, I’ve heard that people were having trouble playing the game on the web. I think I know how to fix it, maybe…but I can’t be bothered to re-open the project, at least in this state. So, I’ll incorporate the mistakes I’ve made into other projects to improve myself.
With character designs as simple but as fun as these, I wonder how you haven't set up a patreon for funding this! not that I'm complaining, I don't have the money to put where my mouth is lol.
Ill make my suggestions quick; - I feel like this game could work really well as like a roguelike in a similar vein as The Binding Of Isaac, perhaps you can find certain alchemical ingredients that change the effects of your potion, or magical runes that when arraigned in a spellbook (the character would have by default), provide certain effects to the spell casting, dependent on where the rune is in the spell, or something idk
- That main char is hot, I kind of wish they got to use that pussy they are showing off in the opening title lol, unless I'm missing a "You died and are lying on the floor to be taken advantage of" scene (which I am almost certainly did as I did not die once.)
- Speaking of that; The game is a wee too easy with a single enemy, add some cat archers that dart around the room and collapse to show their quaint pussy, or some Court magician foxes who slowly charge-up high damaging AOE fireballs, Perhaps some tentacle monster of somekind, or a bear with a huge shield that blocks most attacks from one side, Add doors that enemies watch and spring into action when opened, add traps that fire magical beams and arrow-slits and caltrops, and some boss fights, those would be cool.
Other than that, I love this project, and hope it gets to see a bright future!
I see making video games as more of a hobby than anything at the moment, hence why I don’t have a Paets/Substar as of right now, but I’m actually glad that you like this piece for what it is. I’m actually surprised about how some of the things you just suggested reflected my original take on this idea before time constraints to upload it for the Lewdie Game Jam!
Though, this project isn’t planned on getting an update in the near future, I will however consider your suggestions if I get back on this. I really appreciate you for playing this game, and I hope you have a wonderful day~!
Okay, so umm… funny thing, the second after making an announcement that I had one exclusively for game dev announcements, I realized that I’m doing just fine updating people here and on NewGrounds. I have another reason, but it’s more of a personal reason if anything. So…to answer your question…it’s gone.
For whatever reason, the game shrinks to impossibly small scale whenever it boots. I'm on a 1080p monitor and, for about 1 full second, it is almost full screened. Then, it immediately shrinks upon loading the logo screen. None of the usual tricks work for sizing it up, either. The exe is effectively unplayable for me.
Okay, I just took a look at your problem, and I can confirm that you need a “settings.json” file in order to start the game without having a system error like you’re talking about. I’ll make a fix to it within the hour.
Until then, Go to “C:\Users(Insert_User_Here)\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Carnal Witch” in the Windows Explorer, and then replace the “settings.json” code with this; {“bgm”:0,“fullscreen”:false,“resolution”:{“x”:1280,“y”:720},“sfx”:0}
If “settings.json” doesn’t exist, then make one under the same name, and copy/paste the above code. Restart the game, and then the game should load the game properly. Please let me know how that works for you, alright?
Thanks for getting back to me so fast! That was an absolutely fantastic step by step walkthrough that was both concise and professional! That all said, it sadly did not fix the issue. After walking through the steps, the application didn't run any differently no matter how many times I rebooted or even toyed with the new settings file myself. I also placed the "settings.json" file in every other subfolder just to see if anything happened. I also removed the brackets from the code and, again, no change. Typed the name and code out manually once to ensure that something didn't go wrong while copy-pasting, and again, no change.
If it helps at all, no settings file existed to begin with, nor was one created after deleting the entire Carnal Witch folder and relaunching the game. Sadly, it seems like creating one had no effect at all. Sorry to trouble you with such a strange issue! The browser version works perfectly fine, thankfully, so I was still able to play your delightful little game all the same.
Aw…well, I tried. Maybe downloading the hotfixed version will do the trick for you? I’ve just uploaded a version that might fix the problem, and I’m now dealing with a couple bug fixes too.
Just please do me a favor and delete the “Carnal Witch Appdata” folder before turning the new version of the game on, and let me know if it works?
(Edit: Wait…You said that you put it in the subfolders? I’m not sure if you should be doing that.)
Other than the eerie lack of sound, I like what you've got so far! I'm personally hoping to see more positions/animations for knocked down guards, but I'm sure whatever you've got in mind will do wonders!
Yeah, right now I’m just working on sounds for the most part for the next update. And if I have the time, I’ll work on 1 more enemy before I cease all development over this game indefinitely. This project might get leverage in the future, but for now I’m just mentally exhausted from this thing.

Maybe in the future when the game isn’t in alpha, since it’s within the lore that genderbending is possible…but the scope of this as my first ever game was already so big. So, I’m ceasing development for this game indefinitely after a sound overhaul and possibly adding 1 more enemy.
If the game is back in development after then, probably in 2025-2026, then it’s possible to expect it to be implemented properly at one point in time.
Noted, but I would rather work on the audio…or lack thereof in the game first. For now, I’m planned on making 1 more animation, and possibly 1 more type of enemy to keep things fresh.
